We spent the weekend sopping up local color– and enjoying small pleasures close to home.
How about this fantastic vintage motor home?
Love.
It was parked across the street from the dog park I always take Bailey. Someone told me that it belongs to the homeowner’s son — and he takes it all over the country.
It was the cutest motor home I’ve ever seen– and I caught myself daydreaming of how I would love to decorate it.
Right now I’m so in love with all the hydrangeas all over my neighborhood.
And white picket fences.
Including the one wrapped around this wonderful house on a corner just two blocks from my house.
The roses here are ridiculous.
There are hundreds of them in full bloom — and they smell a little like warmed honey.
And take a look at all the little fairy houses and tree candy in my neighborhood.
I really loved this vintage-looking one with the crackled paint.
There you are, walking the dog, checking texts and then you look up and you realize what an idiot you are because you realize that there’s all this cuteness at dog’s eye view — and you almost missed it.
It’s amazing how creative people are here — and I love that no one defaces these little creations or tries to take them.
It’s like they’re sacred.
What’s new, pussycat?
God I love my neighborhood.
And yesterday we braved the horrendous lines at the airport
to head to California to enjoy a little TLC with my Mom and stepdad in Laguna and then my mother-in-law in L.A.
So lots of great food ahead this week.
Like burgers.
With crispy fries.
Next up, frozen yogurt and card playing and picnics in the sun.
More soon!
